Volume and Layout

Internal dimensions, clear height, number of rooms, docks and airlocks. Wuhan 50,000 m³ is a different family from a 1–5HP monoblock cell.

Temperature Band

Chiller, freezer, blast (−40℃ panels), CA, or pharma ultra-low cascade. Each band changes insulation thickness and compressor staging.

Envelope Core

EPS is listed 30–40% lower cost than PU/PIR on the EPS product page, with a −20℃ limit. PIR adds B1 fire rating. Blast boards are 150–250 mm.

Plant and Refrigerant

Monoblock, semi-hermetic, screw rack, ammonia, or CO₂ cascade. Brand pool published: Bitzer, Emerson, Refcomp, Frascold, Hanbell, Copeland.

Automation Level

No. Howcool does not publish a unit rate on the live site, and this page will not invent one. Cold storage construction cost is driven by temperature band, volume, panel core and thickness, refrigerant plant, door count, automation and the export Incoterm. The cost-budgeting service produces an itemised quotation after those parameters are known.
What do you need before a budget is real?
Solutions copy is explicit: dimensions and parameters for the cold storage unit, plus the intended application. Different temperature ranges are designed to different parameters and usages. Add site country, ambient, power supply (catalogue plant is 380-415V / 3-phase / 50Hz unless engineered otherwise) and whether the job is FOB or CIF.
How fast is a quotation?
Preliminary design within 24 hours of a complete brief; technical drawings, 3D models, thermal calculations and an itemised quotation within 3–5 days. Factory production is typically 20–30 days after design freeze.
What cost drivers change the plant more than the box?
Ultra-low and CA rooms (cascade or gas plant), ammonia versus HFC/CO₂, blast tunnels, electric sliding dock doors, and PLC/HMI/cloud monitoring. A modular EPS + monoblock cell is a different budget family from a 50,000 m³ logistics hall.
What is included after the PO besides equipment?
