Refrigerated Panels for Cold Room Envelopes

PU/PIR sandwich panels, modular EPS, blast-freezer boards and rockwool fire-walls — the Howcool refrigeration panel range used on industrial cold rooms, not domestic fridge cabinets.

Refrigerated Wall Panels That Match the Duty

A refrigeration panel is a structural sandwich — steel skins and an insulating core — that becomes the wall, ceiling and often the floor of an industrial cold room. Buyers search for refrigerated panels, fridge insulation panels and refrigerated wall panels when they need a documented U-value path, a fire rating and a joint that will survive freeze–thaw, not a domestic appliance liner.

Beijing Howcool Refrigeration Technology Co., Ltd. manufactures the envelope in Beijing and delivers it as part of turn-key EPC cold storage or as a matched panel package. ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, CE and Ministry of Commerce export authorisation are the company credentials published on the homepage and About page.

Panel selection is a temperature and fire-code decision. Howcool will not substitute EPS into a −40℃ blast cell, and will not omit PIR or rockwool where the occupancy or plant-room code requires it. Thickness is chosen from the published ranges below; unpublished compressive kPa values are left to the test report.

Panel Procurement Questions

Which refrigerated panel core should we specify?
Use the published service ranges: EPS for modular rooms down to −20℃; PU/PIR sandwich panels for standard cold storage and freezer envelopes (listed 50–200 mm, with 100–120 mm called out for cold storage, 150–200 mm for freezer and 200–250 mm for quick-freezer on the PU/PIR page); blast-freezer PIR 150–250 mm for −40℃ continuous service; rockwool where an A2 fire-wall is required.
Do you publish compressive-strength kPa values?
No kPa figures are stated on the live product pages, so they are not listed here. Ask engineering for test reports with the quotation. Embossed floor panels are published as forklift-rated 2000 kg point load.
What joint systems are available?
Plug-in EPS: cam-lock or tongue-and-groove with EPDM gasket. PU/PIR and blast-freezer panels: cam-lock (blast-freezer uses a recessed cam-lock with double EPDM gasket). Confirm the joint on the drawing set — do not assume one joint for every core.
What steel facing and width options are listed?
PU/PIR page: steel 0.376–0.8 mm; widths roof 960 mm, wall/ceiling 925/960/1125 mm; length up to 11.8 m. PIR fire-rated page: 0.5–0.6 mm facing, widths 1000/1150/1200 mm, length up to 12 m. EPS: 0.4–0.5 mm facing, widths 950/1000/1150 mm, max length 6 m.
Can panels be specified with doors and floors as one envelope?
Yes. Howcool supplies sliding and electric sliding cold storage doors plus embossed aluminium floor panels as part of the same cold-room envelope. EPC construction packages also include plant and installation — see the construction page and solutions.html.
