13、Classification of shelves Introduction

  1. Cross-beam shelves

Also called heavy shelves, each layer load more than 800 kg. A shelf consisting of columns and beams, a professional warehouse shelf for the purpose of accessing pallet goods. It has the characteristics of heavy bearing, wide range of high adaptability, mechanical access, high efficiency of selection, but the space utilization rate is general.

  1. Drive-in shelves

Also called pass-through shelves, can be used for forklifts to access goods. As forklift trucks require access to the interior of the shelf, one-sided pick-up is usually recommended to no more than 7 levels of depth. To improve the speed of the forklift, you can select a configuration-oriented track according to your actual needs. Compared with beamed shelves, the library space utilization of incoming shelves can be increased by more than 30%.

Scope of application: large volume, low class of products, wholesale, cold storage, food and tobacco industry.

3、Shuttle shelves

High-density storage space consisting of shelves, trolleys and forklifts, high warehouse utilization and high operating efficiency.

Working mode: Stock, pick-up can be carried by shuttle to a designated location, shuttle can also be moved by forklift to work in different roadways.

Applicable scope: products with fewer categories and large batches, cold storage operation products, expiration management products.

4、Gravity shelves

Also called self-gravity shelves.

The shelf structure is similar to the beam-type shelf, except that a roller track is installed on the beam, and the track is inclined at 3-5°.

The palletized goods are transported to the shelf inlet by a forklift.

Using its own weight, the pallet automatically slides

5、Cantilever shelves

It is composed of an external cantilever arm installed on the column.

Suitable for storing long items such as steel pipes, steel or plates.

When placing round items, install a stopper on the end of the arm to prevent drop

Remark

1. Shelves with rollers are also called “fluent shelves”.

2. The load-bearing capacity of heavy-duty shelves is above 800Kg/layer, the load-bearing capacity of medium-sized shelves is between 150-800KG/layer, and the load-bearing capacity of light-duty shelves is between 100-150Kg.

Shelf selection: The purpose of choosing shelves is to make greater use of warehouse space and reduce storage costs under the premise of safety. When choosing shelves, you should consider: ① Whether access is convenient, ② Frequency and batch size of incoming and outgoing warehouses, ③ Operating requirements for handling equipment, and ④ Warehouse building structure requirements
